കാറിൽ ലഹരിക്കടത്ത്; ദമ്പതികളടക്കം മൂന്നുപേർ അറസ്റ്റിൽ

കോഴിക്കോട്: കോണ്‍വെന്റ് റോഡില്‍ ആറ് മാസം വളര്‍ച്ചയെത്തിയ ഗര്‍ഭസ്ഥ ശിശുവിന്റെ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തി. തീര്‍ത്ഥാടക സംഘത്തോടൊപ്പം കോഴിക്കോട് ദേവമാതാ കത്തീഡ്രലില്‍ എത്തിയ യുവതിയാണ് പ്രസവിച്ചത്. പ്രസവവേദന വന്നതോടെ പള്ളിക്ക് പുറകില്‍ പ്രസവിച്ചെന്നാണ് യുവതിയുടെ മൊഴി. യുവതിയെ പൊലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തു.

യുവതി പാലക്കാട് സ്വദേശിയാണ്. സിസിടിവി ദൃശ്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നാണ് പ്രസവിച്ച ശേഷം കുഞ്ഞിന്റെ മൃതദേഹം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച സ്ത്രീയെ പൊലീസ് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞത്. പ്രസവത്തോടെ കുഞ്ഞ് മരിച്ചതാണെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം. മാസം തികയാതെയാണ് യുവതി കുഞ്ഞിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചത്. യുവതി നിലവില്‍ കോട്ടപ്പുറം ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചികിത്സയില്‍ കഴിയുകയാണ്.

Foetus Found Abandoned in Kozhikode; Woman Part of Pilgrimage Group Identified

Kozhikode: The body of a six-month-old foetus was found on Convent Road, Kozhikode. The mother, a woman who arrived at the Kozhikode Devamatha Cathedral as part of a pilgrimage group, has been identified and taken into police custody.

According to her statement, she gave birth behind the church after suddenly going into labor. The woman is a native of Palakkad.
